SES specialists discussed with the representatives of the Agency for the Reduction of the Threat of the US Department of Defense the issue of further cooperation

On December 10, the working meeting of the Deputy Head of the SES of Ukraine Ruslan Biloshitsky and the representatives of the United States Department of Defense's Defense Agency at the US Embassy in Ukraine took place.

During the meeting, the Chief of the Threat Reduction Department at the US Embassy in Ukraine, Joanna Vintrol, introduced the specialists of the SES to our country's coordinator, Rene Michel, of the US Agency for Disease Prevention Agency in Europe.

Ruslan Biloshitsky congratulated the guest on the walls of the Service. "I am glad to meet you personally with Major René Michel, responsible for the Agency for our cooperation. We have a rich history of cooperation, the prerequisites for the development of which have been long-standing friendly relations between our countries. Hopefully, we will be able to increase the pace of our partnership, "- said the deputy chairman of the SES.

He added that the modern world creates new challenges and threats, both natural and man-made, especially during the crisis that arose as a result of military aggression on the part of the Russian Federation.
"Such dangers make us be in a constant readiness for timely response to them. We are grateful to the Agency for the practical implementation of the joint Project on the improvement of the radiation, chemical, biological and nuclear protection system of Ukraine. We hope to continue fruitful cooperation and look forward to further successful implementation of the project's objectives.
The same day, the participants of the meeting discussed the planning of activities under the International Technical Assistance Project. In particular, it is a question of the transfer of a new protective equipment for pyrotechnics, sets for equipment maintenance, which has already been received SES of Ukraine, spare kits for chemical subdivisions, etc. Also, the parties began the process of preparation for future joint command-and-train exercises.
